How do I restore MySQL databases from cPanel?

We take regular backups of your MySQL databases- by default these are performed nightly and retained for 7 days.

If you require a database restore, please contact our support team from the portal, or by emailing [email protected].

Please include:

  • The account/domain name you need to restore from
  • The database name
  • The server name, if you know it
  • Whether you want to overwrite the database directly, or whether you simply want us to generate a SQL dump you can import yourself.

Take a look at our website for more information about our backups. Alternatively, read our blog post which discusses our backup policy and how you can do your own testing of your backups.

Please note: If you need assistance restoring files as well as databases, please see our other article here - How do I restore files from cPanel? - Knowledgebase - Prostack
