What does it mean when my domain has gone into the redemption period?

If you have forgotten to renew your .COM or other global domain name and it has expired, it will immediately become inactive and cease to function.

You will have the option to renew and re-activate the status of the domain at the standard renewal fee. You can do this by logging into your client portal and [paying the outstanding invoice].

What is the redemption period?

If the domain has not been renewed after 30 days from the expiry date, it will automatically go into the redemption period.

At this point, to retrieve the domain, the registrar provides a redemption recovery fee of £250.00 plus the minimum 1-year renewal charge.

Please note, we will only charge if the redemption process is successful.

What are the steps I need to take to retrieve my domain?

If you require your domain to be retrieved from the redemption period, you will need to open up a support ticket and request this as soon as possible.
