Cloudways is a managed cloud hosting platform, owned by DigitalOcean since 2022. You choose a server from one of five cloud providers (DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, AWS or Google Cloud) and run your apps through the Cloudways Platform panel. Your contract is with DigitalOcean, LLC, under the law of Delaware.

Prostack vs Cloudways: how do they compare?

Both give you unlimited sites on a server, staging, a London datacentre and an MCP server for your AI tools. Cloudways is cheaper to get started, but its included support stops at the server and the platform, and several of the things that keep a site running are metered. Prostack’s flat price includes support for your sites and nightly off-site backups.

• ✓ Off-site backups cost $0.033/GB at Cloudways, and bandwidth past your plan’s allowance is billed by the gigabyte. Our nightly off-site backups are included, and we don’t bill by the gigabyte or the visit.
• ✓ Cloudways is cheaper to start with. Add application support and the metered extras, then compare the total.

A UK company with its own certifications

• ✓ Your Cloudways contract is with DigitalOcean, LLC, under Delaware law, and its fees are non-refundable. You contract with Prostack, a UK company, under the laws of England and Wales.

• ✓ Our uptime SLA is 100%. Cloudways advertises 99.99% uptime, but its published SLA covers its support platform rather than its cloud providers’ availability.
