We’ve all been there. You’re working on your website one afternoon and accidentally delete an all-important file. Or you click the upgrade button in your site’s admin area and a few minutes later you see the dreaded 500 error.
In these situations, it’s important to have a hosting provider that’s got your back. That’s where we can help.
The importance of an offsite backup
Data loss can have a significant impact on your business, especially if you’re running a mission critical website or an e-commerce store. It’s vital to make sure you have a working backup of your site in case anything goes wrong. This gives you the peace of mind of knowing that you’re covered in the event of any problems.
Our backup policy
As a part of our managed hosting services, we take one daily backup of your sites. These are retained on a seven-day rolling basis, keeping your data going back for one week.
We make sure to back up all site files, databases, and email data and can restore anything from a single file to the entire server. So at any slight chance of disaster, we’re one step ahead and we can restore what you need.
Along with our comprehensive suite of server monitors, we also monitor the health of your offsite backups.

Do I need to do my own testing of my backups?
The majority of web hosting providers offer a backup policy as a part of the service (just like our policy we mentioned earlier!).
We also recommend that you schedule frequent check-ins to make sure the backups we store are accurate and are in working order.
Reach out to our support team to provide you with the latest backup for your testing processes. This could be as simple as downloading the latest recovery point and checking that all your files are present.
How do I access my backups?
