Can you handle vulnerability reports with shared hosting?

It's important to be security-conscious when it comes to your business and a vulnerability assessment is a key step to identifying any shortcomings in your security.

At ProStack, we guarantee PCI compliant hosting on [Cloud] and [Dedicated] servers. However, it's not possible to guarantee PCI compliant hosting for shared or reseller services.

Understanding why PCI Compliance isn't possible for shared hosting

The reason it's not possible to be PCI compliant on shared or reseller hosting is that the resources and configuration are shared by multiple customers.

Shared servers are used for many services, including email etc. Clients use various software types and versions all running on the same platform.

Adjusting any configuration to meet any specific PCI scan, will affect the functionality of some customer services in the shared environment.

Therefore, it's industry standard that PCI compliance is done on a best efforts basis and is not guaranteed on shared servers.
